Stephanie has been a fertility and pregnancy acupuncturist for over 20 years. She is also a teacher and author. She has written, Planting the Seeds of Pregnancy: An Integrative Approach to Fertility Care, is working on her second book about integrative pregnancy care, and she teaches acupressure during pregnancy, labor and postpartum to birth professionals, including doulas, midwives and medical doctors, as well as pregnant people and their birth partners.
Stephanie began her specialty in fertility enhancement in 2002, early in her career as an acupuncturist. She has trained fertility acupuncturists for the past 15 at Acupuncture Northwest & Associates, offering them a thorough and comprehensive mentorship and help turn them into fertility acupuncturist. as well as the rest of the practitioners at Acupuncture Northwest, also treat women throughout their pregnancies and into postpartum.Stephanie Gianarelli (LAc, Dipl.Ac, Dipl.CH) is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM), a licensed and national board certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist.
Stephanie received her Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1999. She also completed post-graduate training in acupuncture and Chinese herbology focusing on gynecology at Zhe Jiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hang Zhou, P.R. China. She founded Acupuncture Northwest in 2000 in the same building it is still in today, the Medical Dental Building.
Stephanie and Acupuncture Northwest & Associates have been featured on Q13 Fox, Evening Magazine, on KOMO 4 news, in Seattle Magazine, South Sound Magazine and the Seattle Times. She has also been awarded the designation of Seattle Met Magazine’s Top Doc for 2017-2020 in the East Asian Medicine category. Stephanie and her colleagues have given many lectures to both lay people and the medical community on acupuncture and the treatment of infertility and pregnancy. As time permits, Stephanie mentors students from Bastyr University about using Chinese medicine for fertility enhancement.
